Full review
Setup
The software has a standard installation procedure that takes a few minutes to complete. The process is simple, with on-screen prompts guiding the user throughout the installation. Once the installation is complete, the user is greeted with a start-up manager which allows them to configure how they would like to run the software.
Repair
Auslogics BoostSpeed is equipped with several components that provide users with effective system-repair methods. The duplicate file finder detects files sharing the same name and size, while the file recovery tool allows you to restore previously deleted files. Finally, the registry cleaner utility swiftly scans around 16 types of registry keys for corrupt or invalid entries. All these features work extremely quickly and effectively to improve system performance.
Optimization
Auslogics disk defrag is an excellent utility that swiftly scans your hard drive for fragmented files. The process is extremely quick and does not affect system performance at all. Auslogics registry defrag is another useful utility that cleans up the Windows registry and speeds up the performance of your computer. To complement the registry defrag feature, there is also a tweak manager which provides you with a range of tweaks to increase your system performance. However, the tweak manager is quite limited in terms of the number of services it can optimize.
Management
Through the user interface, users can see a full list of previous scans performed and the errors found in each scan. The software provides a basic startup manager that allows the user to select which applications to launch on start-up and allows the user to remove unnecessary applications to speed up the boot time. The uninstall manager enables the user to remove unnecessary files and applications to free up space and boost system performance.
Security
Auslogics BoostSpeed doesn’t offer any security-related features, but it does inform the user of the security applications they have installed. This is a major downside of the software since most of its competitors do offer system-security utilities.
Features
Internet Optimizer - This feature clears unnecessary browser data such as cache and cookies to increase performance.
Tweak Manager - This feature provides the user with a number of tweaks that they can perform to increase the overall system performance.
Ease of use
This software is designed with new users in mind and is incredibly easy to use. All the features have a built-in help section that contains step-by-step instructions on configuring the features. Auslogics BoostSpeed has a range of basic and advanced features that are laid out in a user-friendly interface which makes it easy to use for both new and experienced users.
Help & support
Customer support options are very limited, as an online contact form is the only way to contact the customer support staff. There is also an online FAQs database, but if you require urgent assistance with a matter not covered in the FAQs then it can be quite frustrating since the customer support team can take a long time to respond to emails.
Overall
Auslogics BoostSpeed 13 Pro is equipped with a range of impressive features that are both effective and easy to use. The application’s features are incredibly quick at getting the job done which makes it quick and easy to run a full computer scan. Despite the poor customer service, this software is definitely worth your consideration.
