Reports had been circulating this week that Apple was in talks with Spotify, but speculation has now been denied by Spotify.
This week TechCrunch reported that Apple was currently in talks with Spotify the music sharing service about a potential acquisition. However Spotify's spokesman has come out in response to the rumors and denied that any talks had taken place.
Jim Butcher said "We wouldn't normally comment on this kind of speculation, but we wanted to make it clear that we have absolutely no intention of selling Spotify."
Spotify has seen its music sharing service expand quickly into Europe over the past year, but is still attempting to break into the United States. A number of technical and infrastructure problems have forced them to delay their launch.
