The electronics giant has today announced that it will launch two new computer tablets that will use the the Android operating system.
This will be Sonys first move into the tablet market and it will see them produce two devices. Although the names of the devices have yet to be confirmed, it is known that one will feature a 9.4 inch touchscreen while the other will use a 5.5 inch dual screen.
It is also known that it will use Google's Android operating system and contain WiFi and 3G connectivity.
Sony hopes to be second in the tablet market - just behind Apple which has dominated the market with its iPad launched last year.
