Nokia and Microsoft smartphone partnership

14 February 2011 | Category: Electronics

Both companies have today joined forces in an attempt to regain ground on rivals in the Smartphone market.

Nokia and Microsoft have fallen behind Apple (iPhone) and Android based phones in recent months and are now looking to form a strategic alliance.

The deal will see Nokia adopt the Windows Phone 7 operating system as its Smartphone operating system. They will collaborate on technology and marketing initiatives.

Rumours have suggested that Google had tried to convince Nokia to use its Android based system instead.
