One of the most popular file sharing websites has been shutdown by a United States judge.
The website that allows people to share songs over the internet was ordered to close its operations after it was found liable of copyright infringement.
Limewire had been in court fighting against the Recording Industry Association of America for the past four years.
A message on the limewire website reads: "This is an official notice that LimeWire is under a court ordered injunction to stop distributing and supporting its file-sharing software."
Limewire's digital music store will continue to run, but its file sharing business will stop.
