Rumours that the iPhone will soon be coming to Verizon intensify.
Ever since Apple and AT&T locked themselves into a long term exclusivity deal for the iPhone there have been plenty of rumours around suggesting that the deal may soon be coming to an end. The problem with such rumours is that nobody outside of either company knows how long Apple and AT&T's original deal will actually last.
But many believe that it likely to be a five year deal, which would mean that deal, will soon be coming to an end. AT&T will be pretty reluctant to part with its exclusivity agreement, but for Apple any future agreement with other mobile network providers could mean a wealth of future opportunities with a new customer bases.
Verizon is the biggest of those networks and it's highly likely they will soon enter into some sort of negotiations with Apple. Apple is also aware that many regard Verizon to have superior network to AT&T. Many iPhone users have complained about AT&T's wireless network and the number of dropped calls which was recently exposed in a consumer report.
Verizon has missed out on several high profile exclusive deals with popular mobile phones recently, so it's likely they will be doing their utmost to make sure another deal doesn't fall through the net.
