Website hosting firm GoDaddy is likely to be boycotted by its customers after it announced support for the controversial Stop Online Piracy Act.
Customers are angry that GoDaddy has pledged it support towards the act which hopes to allow television, film studios and record labels seek court orders to remove websites offline that aid piracy. Many believe that the act could change the core nature of the internet.
Discontent has come from some high profile customers including Wikipedia and Cheezburger.
The act has yet to be voted on by the US Congress.
