Within a year of .CO Internet’s launch, the domain registration company declared that they have recently indexed their one millionth .CO website.

With the help of several websites such as Twitter and Amazon, .CO Internet has reached a milestone by landing their millionth website registration. GoDaddy, already a loyal patron of .CO domains, was responsible for the millionth registration.

Naval Ravikant, the founder of Angel.CO, stated that domain registration beliefs are fast changing, with major businesses realizing that their website does not require a long URL or an expensive price tag.

.CO websites are considered by search engines to be under the same umbrella as .COM websites. The company that launched .CO domain registration claims that regardless of that fact, they still follow ICANN’s policies.

Colombia considers .CO as a top level domain and has given thumbs up in the registration of sites under .CO domains. The domain registration company is now working with Neustar, a network connectivity corporation, to further safeguard the privileges of trademark owners who want to get their own .CO websites.
