The launch event is likely to see the unveiling of two new smartphones, one aimed at first time users.
Analysts believe that Apple will unveil two new smartphones: an updated iPhone 5S and a new cheaper model called the iPhone 5C.
The iPhone 5S (or iPhone 6 as it might be called) is said to have a fingerprint sensor included as well as a faster processor, better camera and new casing. The iPhone 5S is likely to be very similar but with reduced features. It's also believed to be offered in a selection of colors very similar to those of the original iMac.
Several Apple fansites have shown leaked pictures of the rumoured new phones, although there has been no confirmation of the authenticity of the devices.
As well as the new smartphones, its expected that Apple will unveil iTunes radio and it's new iOS operating system.
The launch event will take place at the Apple Campus in Cupertino on Tuesday 10th September. Invitations were sent to members of the media this morning.
