Malware

The term malware is a generic term used to refer to many different types of malicious software programs. These programs may be viruses that disrupt the stable operation of a computer, keyloggers that secretly monitor keyboard input in attempt to steal usernames and passwords, spyware that covertly reports to a third party the browsing habits of the computer user, or any number of other devious types of software with malicious intent. Additionally, all forms of malware are likely to consume at least a minor amount of system memory and CPU resources.
